FIFA 15 still is the best game of football around

FIFA 15 looks at the starting line with 35 different leagues, including the major European leagues and a large number of non-European championships, each with their own teams and rosters updated, to the delight of all true fans. In addition, there are 47 national and some legendary teams, for a total of more than 600 clubs and 16,000 players with whom engage in over 70 different stages, 41 of which recreated from existing arenas and reproduced with accuracy thanks to the numerous official licenses and close collaboration with partners and sponsors.

Fans are also promised more control over the players and improved mobility to help give the field a more life-like feel as players go from the start of the match until the final whistle blows. Full-body defending and better tackling graphics helps make the game feel rewarding. Game players are also given the ability to choose short term, long term and immediate goals which will help give game players more control over the outcome of their team’s seasons and games.



That said, the game’s pinball-esque feel and dynamic physicality can be a joy to behold once you absolve the admittedly uncertain AI of blame altogether. Below the game’s dubious extremity lies the foundation of a real match winner, with enough neat ideas and nuances to bring a smile to even a passing football fan. It’s a matter of when it works, it really works. The induction of pace-fuelled play is a commendable shift in focus – and most likely a disillusioned nod to the fast-paced nature of real-life football – but it’s nowhere near refined enough to work impeccably, especially when the game’s mechanics are so touch-and-go.

FIFA 15 isn't perfect. There are still some quirky animations in here that occasionally burst the realism bubble. Keepers are still prone to howlers, and a number of goals still come from daft rebounds off their lanky frames. Also the Finesse Shot appears to have been nerfed in such a way we barely use it now, which is a real shame. But FIFA 15 still is the best game of football around. EA has evolved its engine rather than revolutionised it, and it's worked a treat. But, with friends or without, FIFA 15 plays a rock solid game of football and looks destined for glory again.
